Unified Security Posture Across Hybrid Environments
Forescout simplifies the management of complex cloud and hybrid networks with the Microsoft® Azure integration. Through this integration, Forescout administrators can connect to the Azure public cloud to gain real-time insight into Virtual Machine instances and other Azure entities such as Virtual Networks (VNets) and manage them as they would other endpoints. The integration enables automated security assessments and compliance enforcement for cloud resources by maintaining a consistent security posture across both cloud and on-premises environments.
Features and Benefits
Comprehensive Visibility and Management of Assets
Gain a unified view of all cloud resources and more including Virtual Machines, applications, services, assets, and endpoints and their properties within the Azure environment. This includes fine grain details, such as the Azure Tags applied to a virtual machine, Azure VNet settings and routes, as well as the creation of new Subscriptions, and many other Azure operational details. This integration allows IT Administrators to easily identify and categorize devices based on type, OS, location, and other attributes for effective asset management.
Dynamic Access Control and Segmentation for Cloud Resources
Streamline security operations for cloud resources by automating routine security tasks such as inventory management, compliance checks, and incident response across Azure and on-premises environments. This reduces manual efforts and ensures continuous compliance allowing IT teams to focus on strategic initiatives.
Out-of-the-Box Policy Templates
IT Administrators can leverage out-of-the-box policy templates for VNet compliance and Azure subscription states to simplify management and reduce the risk of compliance gaps. By leveraging information from Azure, Forescout can apply security policies and compliance checks to Azure workloads. This ensures security and compliance policies can be consistently enforced across cloud and on-premises environments so that all parts of the IT estate are compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Reduce the Potential for Human Error and Drive Efficiencies
Enable delete protection for Azure VM instances to prevent accidental deletion of an instance by establishing a policy in which all compliant and critical VM assets have delete protection enabled. IT Administrators can also initiate actions on Virtual Machines directly from the Forescout Platform.
